Gujarat Green Revolution Company Limited (GGRC), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) promoted by Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Limited (GNFC) and Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Limited (GAIC), is the Implementing Agency appointed by the Government of Gujarat and recognized by Govt. of India for implementing Micro Irrigation System (MIS) in the State of Gujarat.
GGRC implements the MIS Scheme of Govt. of Gujarat and Govt. of India in uniform subsidy pattern of 50% of the total MIS cost or Rs.60,000/- per hectare whichever is less. The unique features of the scheme is hand holding the beneficiary farmer by facilitating bank loan as per need, providing with insurance coverage for the system as well as the beneficiary for a period of 5 years, agronomical services rendered to the farmer for 2 crops and maintenance of the system by the MIS suppliers. Keeping in mind the economic condition of the farmers, GGRC is in a continuous process of fine tuning the system in the form of periodic cost revision and simplifying procedure.
The strength of the scheme is its flexibility and transparency that the farmer can choose the type of MIS as per his need and a single design can cater to various crops. He has the liberty to choose the extent of area and the supplier. The field level working of the scheme in GGRC is through reputed MIS suppliers registered by GGRC time to time.
Mission: Gujarat Green Revolution Company Limited (GGRC) is aimed to promote Micro Irrigation System (MIS) to the farmers of Gujarat as an implementing agency on behalf of Government of Gujarat (GoG) and Government of India (GoI) to bring 2nd Green Revolution in consonance with the Agriculture policy of Gujarat Vision 2010 so as to save water and energy, besides multiple benefits to improve Agricultural productivity and farmer’s prosperity at large. |
